Today is National Fitness Day and the theme for 2024 is ‘Your Health is for Life’.

A powerful message which I am sure can resonate with us all.

In our fast-paced world, the importance of regular exercise cannot be overstated. Numerous studies have shown that consistent physical activity not only extends our life expectancy but also significantly enhances our quality of life. The benefits of exercise are multifaceted, affecting physical health, mental wellbeing, and social connections.

Cardiovascular Exercise
Examples: Running, cycling, swimming, brisk walking

Benefits: Cardiovascular exercises are essential for maintaining heart health. I have also taught and assessed for Fitness Training Scotland delivering kettle-bell, gym instructor and personal training courses and have taught and assessed the Level 1 Weightlifting Course for British Weightlifting.
